If you don’t appreciate your WordPress blog too much you can upgrade to latest version this way:
curl -s http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz | tar zxv > /dev/null && \ cp -rf wordpress/* . && rm -rf wordpress/* && rmdir wordpress
